About Hoot & Bumble

 

Hello! I'm Elizabeth, and this is my little web home. Welcome! I'm so glad you found me!

 

I started Hoot & Bumble in June 2013. A friend of mine opened a local store front, and I spent weeks preparing items to have in her shop. The idea snow balled, and I decided if I was going to do this, I was going to do it big. It was kind of a "you only regret the chances you didn't take" kinda thing. I created this blog intending to use it as a way to update people about my shop, and decided I liked blogging so much, that I wanted to dive into it as well! 

 

To be honest, this hand made business thing has always been a lifelong dream of mine. As a child I day dreamed about having my own shop to sell my hand made items. I value hand made gifts above anything else to give or receive. There's just something special about gifting something that you have spent time on for that specific person. I even started an annual Homemade Secret Santa Gift Exchange for our family.

 

The Hoot & Bumble name comes from two stuffed animals our son received as a gift. Can you guess what they are? An owl, and a bee, of course, that we names Hoot & Bumble!

 

I live in the small, and first state of Delaware with my amazing husband, and our young son. I also go to a University where I study Elementary Education. & I work part time as a nanny!
